BMW R 1200 R: a single cylinder and two two-cylinder
BMW brings the revised R 1200 R in two variants: one of them turns to retro fans, the other friends of the here and now. For beginners, there will be a 650 gs again with just one cylinder.
Once contemporary and once classically dressed, BMW offers the "Roadster motorcycle" BMW R 1200 R from spring 2011. The drive takes over one of the BMW HP2 sports boxer motor with 1170 CCM displacement, 81 kW / 110 hp power and a torque of 119 nm.
While the basic version appears optically modern and to have in different colors, the new "Classic" version sets on black paint with a white ornamental strip pulling over tank and front wheel. In addition, the complete exhaust system and the mirrors are chromed. Both R 1200 R as well as R 1200 R Classic can optionally be equipped with the electronic suspension setting ESA. Prices do not yet call the manufacturer.
