Electricity also comes from the sky, but the Harleys are only available at public charging stations “refueled” or at night in the accommodation on the household electricity.

Scotland in winter on two electric motorcycles. A story of detours, wrong turns, broken charging stations and no charging stations. The definition of reach fear. Not for the two adventures Ross and Hugo Turner, both 32 years old, because they were born brothers on the same day. To show that the very north of the British Isles, where the world will soon end beautifully with highlanders and single malts, can already be experienced with an electric motorcycle.

At Harley in Glasgow the tour starts on the two Live Wires in the direction of the North Coast 500. Over the rugged west coast to the northernmost point of the Bay of Sannick at John O ‘Groats and back to Iverness. Live Wire packed in cold December at a normal pace a good 160 kilometers per charge, according to the brothers. Charging stations are not always on the way, but they are available in the towns. During the first few nights, the batteries are then connected to the bed & Breakfast charged via normal household electricity.

The silence is variety

Ross describes the feeling of driving through the Scottish ruggedness on an e-motorcycle: “We drove through Glen Coe at 50 mph, visors up, and just talked. Deer everywhere. It was amazing. The silence was really a nice change.”

Conclusion

Just set off on electric motorcycles, where there are supposedly no charging options, experience an adventure and still arrive easily. If we just leave out the advertising block for Harley and Belstaff, then this is still a great story of the TurnerTwins.
