Tricycle gets more power
The three-wheeled Piaggio MP3 models have now firmly established themselves in the scene. For the 2019 model year there is more equipment and, above all, more power.
A.When the three-wheel scooter was introduced in 2006, it received a lot of head shaking. In the meantime 170,000 copies have been produced and the MP3 has established itself on the streets. The Parisians especially love the tricycle. Around 100,000 MP3s have been approved in the greater French metropolis alone.
New 350, stronger 500

The 350 is new, the 500 has become more powerful.
The Italians have therefore not fundamentally changed the MP3. The most striking innovations concern the engines. The 350 version replaces the old 300 version. Your now 330 cm³ single-cylinder four-stroke engine has an output of 30.7 HP and 29 Nm – a good 10 HP more than before. This means that the now 256 kilogram scooter can reach speeds of up to 130 km / h. The consumption should be 3.9 liters.
In the MP3 500, the 493 cm³ single cylinder has increased by 13 to 44.3 hp. The maximum torque is 47.5 Nm. Enough power to accelerate the MP3 500 up to 145 km / h. The consumption should be here at 4.0 liters.
More wind protection and comfort

In addition to the engines, the Italians also refined the equipment, the seat and the windshield. The bench now offers even more comfort and newly shaped pillion grab handles. The newly shaped windshield offers your hands more wind and weather protection.
The equipment variants have been rearranged. The MP3 500 is now available as a business and a sports version, the 350 only as a sport. The business version features a small TomTom navigation system that sits in the middle of the handlebar. The sport version is equipped with better gas pressure shock absorbers.
The tried and tested tilt technology chassis with ABS and traction control that can be switched off has remained unchanged. What has also remained unchanged is that you can drive all MP3 models with a car driver’s license if you are older than 21 years.
