Mosaic pictures

Puzzle is not the correct term because puzzle pieces already have a well-defined shape. The current news information does not offer this luxury. If you put them together, you usually only get a roughly drawn mosaic.

Nobody had doubted that, but D.ucati is only now confirming it: The puristic fun bike Hypermotard with 1000 two-valve V2 is being built in series. When the Bolognese presented the prototype at the Milan trade fair last November, they were still unsure whether they should dare the adventure. But the enthusiastic response from the fans and two design prizes dispelled all doubts. Despite longer-term production planning, in which the Hypermotard is inserted, it should be available at dealers in spring 2007. This should not have any impact on the other planned models. Ducati does not say a word about what these will be. However, rumors about a successor to the sporty Ducati flagship 999 persist.
Honda officials are no less lazy on the subject of innovations. On the contrary, the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world seems to employ a large number of master masons who only embrace new models when they can be proven with their own brochures. Fortunately, there are also impartial people in the ranks of every globally operating corporation who occasionally give away a valuable snippet of information. Sometimes such snippets come together to form a picture.
One of them shows a long overdue successor to the Honda CBR 1100 XX. There has been speculation about this for a long time, and as early as 2004 MOTORRAD had indications that such a machine was ready for series production. However, it was not produced? as some suspect because of the new BMW K 1200 S. For 2007 it finally seems to come true. It is not yet possible to say whether the “new” new development, which will probably be presented at Intermot 2006, will really be a 1200 or will have a displacement of 1300 or 1400 cubic centimeters. Because Honda is currently acting cautiously when designing new models, their appearance will remain in principle, but will become more pointed and angular. Also on the headlights should be
the trend towards distinctive shapes can be seen. Modern components are to be expected, for example an upside-down fork and radially screwed brake calipers. What remains of the current composite braking system remains to be seen. At a

to build in sophisticated technical solutions.
When it comes to the question of whether such a motorcycle will be launched with an in-line four-cylinder or a V5 engine, the chances are in favor of the four-cylinder, but a series-production machine with five-cylinder has not yet been definitively ruled out. Because
there are hints that speak of the development of an innovative cooling system for the compact power and therefore also heat cube. Despite strong denials, rumors of a new Honda Varadero and in
their entourage is a fun bike called the FMX 1000. The first-mentioned novelty is far more likely, but the second is not entirely out of the air. It is quite possible that a fun bike with a large two-cylinder is only planned for model year 2008 or that it has been put on hold again after more or less advanced preparatory work. What would be fainthearted of Honda. The trend towards large-volume supermotos has not yet grown into a million-dollar market, so it still carries a risk of speculation, but when it comes to design, innovation and driving dynamics, things are happening there. A puristic, sharp design paired with a good portion of Honda reliability would represent the high house in this segment worthy.
But now to the Varadero: Three and a quarter years have passed since the last facelift; the current model is in its fourth season, before that the first edition was in service for just as long. For this reason alone, the next evolution is urgently needed. In addition, the Varadero, when equipped with CBS / ABS, weighed 291 kilograms with a full tank. This is also possible, as BMW has shown with the R 1200 GS
a good 40 kilos lighter, especially the latest anti-lock braking systems
Generation weigh less than two kilograms. The goal is therefore to save weight, which is why the author has given the computer graphics his Varadero spoked wheels. These will probably be lighter than the current aluminum rubble, modern, heavy-
However, they can hardly undercut optimized cast wheels. Dem
Following the striving for less weight and more dynamism, the design will be lower, stretched and smart.
There is no longer any doubt that a new generation of Hornet models is emerging, the appearance of which is to be enhanced above all by a beautifully finished aluminum frame. The illustration shows a Hornet 1000 with the engine of the big CBF, which in turn derives from the super sports car Fireblade. Although it will only be the second step into the new Hornet era, because first comes a new 600 series. The reason for this is obvious ?? in Italy and Spain, where motorcycles are out of control
Sell the Hornet 600, Suzuki GSR 600 or Yamaha FZ6 en masse, Honda wants to defend its strong position.
Aprilia has completely different priorities. The northern Italian manufacturer has to fight for a strong position again. Fortunately, the new owner Piaggio has recently approved the budget necessary for extensive new developments. And meanwhile Aprilia has hired the designer Sergio Robbiano to create a new super sports car. It is expected to take part in the Superbike World Championship as early as 2008 (see page 148). Robbiano, a student of Ducati 916 designer Massimo Tamburini, is the man who designs it
for the latest Bimota models DB5 and DB6 Delirio has supplied. He promises that next to “his” new Aprilia everything else will look old. The study, based on the style of previous Robbiano designs, which, however, did not come from him himself, certainly looks very interesting. Apparently it has not yet been decided what kind of engine Aprilia will build, at the moment a V4 seems more likely than an in-line engine. Should the motorcycle really be used in 2008, this decision cannot be long in coming.
