Police stop idiosyncratic reconstruction

The police stopped a scooter driver at a traffic control in Rhineland-Palatinate because he was noticed by his very idiosyncratic scooter conversion.

M.Motorcycles with cardboard cladding, electric prototypes made of bamboo or e-bikes with which you can glide over water: you could actually think that you have already seen most of the curiosities. The scooter shown in this article undoubtedly ranks in the upper range of the curiosities ranking. The Rhineland-Palatinate police recently stopped a very idiosyncratic converted scooter that could not be overlooked with the naked eye.

Seat with back and armrests

A 62-year-old scooter owner from the area around Kaiserslautern has obviously decided to make the already comfortable sitting position on his vehicle a little more comfortable. The scooter driver installed an armchair backrest in the back of the bench. Matching this, the armrests were also misused and placed on the side of the scooter. How exactly the chair parts were attached to the scooter is not clearly visible in the pictures. The extension does not look particularly elegant, however.

And as if that wasn’t weird enough, the scooter driver has installed a sewer pipe on the right side of the scooter, which he says serves as a storage box. Although it seems unnecessary, it should be mentioned that the conversion work was not approved and registered by an expert, which is why the operating license of the scooter should have expired according to the police report. During the inspection, however, the man was able to show a valid driver’s license, vehicle documents and proof of insurance. Due to the expired operating license, however, the journey did not continue. In addition, a notification of an administrative offense was issued. The Rhineland-Palatinate police also announced that the registration office will be informed about the inspection.

Conclusion

You don’t see a scooter with back and armrests and a waste water pipe as a storage box every day, which is why we didn’t want to withhold the unconventional vehicle from you. In any case, the owner of the “couch” scooter cannot be blamed for a lack of creativity.
