the Spidi J-Tracker Tech motorcycle jeans should fit everyone – motorcyclists who like to go on tour in jeans and of course commuters who may wear the jeans all day, even if they just sit on the motorcycle or scooter for the trip to work and home.

The Spidi J-Tracker Tech comes in a slim fit and is made of Cordura-reinforced cotton. Also on board: removable level 1 protectors in the knee and hip area. With a discreet zipper in the outer seam, the knee pads are not only easy to insert and remove, but can also be adjusted in position.

The new Spidi biker jeans are certified according to EN 17092-3, which gives them protection level AA.

Protection class AA motorcycle jeans

The new Spidi biker jeans are certified according to EN 17092-3, which gives them protection level AA. The other two J-Tracker models correspond to Class A. A short trip to the protection standards of motorcycle clothing. There are five protection classes: AAA, AA, A, B and C. C stands for pure impact protection, B for pure abrasion protection and A for both together. “In the case of combined abrasion / impact protection, class A is practically the leisure wear that offers the highest level of comfort, but also the lowest level of protection. In the case of classes AA and AAA, the ratio is reversed accordingly, from the protector-proven touring textile suit to the pure protector racing suit”, our colleagues Tobias Beyl and Michael Schumann explain here.

On the back of the J-Tracker Tech there should also be a fastening element for connection to a jacket. How this element is made cannot be deduced from the images.

The knee pads are easy to insert and remove thanks to a discreet zip in the outer seam.

The knees of the motorcycle jeans are already a bit bulged, which should be very comfortable to wear. Six belt loops, four pockets and the typical indigo finish make the Spidi J-Tracker Tech look like normal motorcycle jeans. According to the manufacturer, motorcycle jeans weigh one kilogram.

Color and price

The J-Tracker Tech is only available in dark blue and in sizes 28 to 40. Price: 179.90 euros. If you want to choose between black, dark blue and blue, you can use the somewhat cheaper J-Tracker, which is then only awarded protection level A..

How do you feel about protective clothing?

Voted 2960 times

I always drive with full protective clothing – depending on the occasion (trip or fair weather trip) in a textile or leather suit.

I’m not so strict about it; when the weather is good, my helmet is enough for me.

Everything except shorts is ok on day tours.

I ride in jeans – motorcycle jeans, after all.

For me, full protective equipment also includes a safety vest.

Conclusion

It’s great that Spidi is now also offering an AA protection class product in its entry-level motorcycle jeans series. In the case of motorcycle jeans, it is worth taking a look at the protection classes, because almost everything is on the way – from C to AA. Protection class AA is also offered by models from iXS, Modeka, Rokker and Trilobite, for example. You can find out more in the latest test of 11 motorcycle jeans models.
