Suzuki Burgman 650 with a huge luggage compartment
The streamlined body of the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive immediately catches the eye. A lot has happened in the cockpit too. Changes also to the massive drive unit: Through targeted fine work on valve springs, piston rings and injection nozzles as well as refined mapping, consumption should be 15 percent lower than the predecessor.
Basically, the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive is a fully faired motorcycle with a slightly chopper-like, but extremely comfortable seating position for driver and front passenger, plus an automatic transmission and the driving and chassis properties of a mid-range motorcycle.
In addition, it offers top-class comfort. There is a huge luggage space under the bench, plus three additional compartments. Mirrors, windows, handles and seats are operated or heated electrically. The latest generation of the ABS modulator is new. As far as could be verified at the first encounter, the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive works flawlessly.
Stoic calm and proper lean angle
The parallel twin begins its work with the typical Burgman babble. With the bulky left handlebar switch, two automatic modes and a shift mode can be activated, because the variomatic transmission on the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive is not operated by rollers, as is usually the case, but by a servomotor.
In power mode, the speed is around 1500 revs higher than the standard, which allows the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive to accelerate out of the corners, especially uphill. Which, by the way, he circles with stoic calm, proper lean angle and the sovereignty of the mass of almost 300 kilograms. So everything as usual. And that’s good.
