Little friend for everyone

Suzuki would like to have a say in the ever increasing motorcycle class between 200 and 400 cm³ and is launching the small sports tourer GSX 250 R.

The Suzuki GThe name SX 250 R creates a distance from the Supersport family by placing the R behind the engine size. The well-behaved 25-horsepower row twin, already familiar from the Inazuma naked bike, does justice to this assessment. The steering stub attached above the upper triple clamp confirm the more tourist than sporty basic orientation of the Suzuki GSX 250 R..

In the presentation of the GSX 250 R, Suzuki also places much greater emphasis on a sporty appearance and easily controllable power delivery, agile handling and a comfortable driving position. It should be suitable for both commuting and long tours and appeal to a correspondingly broad clientele: on the one hand, beginners in the world of sporty motorcycles, on the other hand, those who "later in life in the world of two-wheeled amusements" want to return.

Whoever gets on the Suzuki GSX 250 R should find a slightly long-stroke engine optimized for low and medium speeds, which feels most comfortable between 20 and 90 km / h. It only needs 3 liters of fuel for 100 kilometers (measured according to WMTC standards). Thanks to its 15 liter tank, the range of the Suzuki GSX 250 R is theoretically around 480 km.

The cockpit of the Suzuki GSX 250 R is largely made in LCD technology and of course backlit. It includes a rev counter, speedometer, two daily and one total kilometers counter, gear display, remaining range, average consumption, fuel level, timer and LED displays for oil change intervals. Indicator lights for turn signals, high beam, idle, ABS, coolant temperature, oil pressure and a general error display.

The rear lights and position / daytime running lights are also designed as LEDs; Clear-glass indicators signal changes in direction.

The Suzuki GSX 250 R is expected to be available in black and white as well as a racing decor.
