Super tourer with in-line three-cylinder

Quianjiang Motor as the parent company of Benelli has now presented a super tourer in China with the 1200GT. It uses the old Benelli Tre three-cylinder.

The Loncin subsidiary CF Moto in China has just launched the B.enelli with the 1200GT a three-cylinder counterpart in the spotlight.

The in-line three-cylinder under the lavishly sweeping fairing is based on the old Tre engines from Benelli. It draws 136 hp from 1,209 cm³ and provides a maximum torque of 120 Nm. This should enable the touring model to reach a top speed of almost 230 km / h. The final drive is via a chain.

Extensive equipment

The Benelli 1200GT is also equipped with an LED headlight, a Brembo brake system with ABS and radially attached pliers on the front wheel. Of course, such a super tourer also includes side cases and a large topcase. Also on board are a keyless go system, a Kayaba USD fork, electrically adjustable and folding mirrors, an electrically height-adjustable window, an audio system with navigation and USB connection, heated grips, heated seat, and a large TFT display in the cockpit – flanked by analog instruments for speed and engine speed – as well as camera systems at the front and rear that monitor traffic and thus warn of rear-end collisions.

Does that sound like technologies from automotive engineering? Not surprising, since the Benelli parent company Quianjiang Motor belongs to the large Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely. He in turn owns the brands Volvo, Lotus, Lynk & Co as well as large shares in Daimler.

China is serious. With the 1200GT, Benelli presents a super tourer that, according to the key data, is easily on par with the big BMW boxers.
