Sporttourer receives updates
BMW presented the new BMW F 800 GT at EICMA 2016. The sports tourer has been thoroughly revised for the 2017 model year.
BMW donated the F. 800 GT for model year 2017 some updates. In addition to adjustments to meet the new Euro 4 standard, the instruments and the windshield, among other things, have been further developed. In addition, the BMW F 800 GT will be available next year in the new colors Gravity metallic matt, Light white and Black storm metallic. The riding modes “Rain” and “Road” are now available as standard. The “Dynamic” driving mode, which BMW says should be suitable for a particularly sporty driving style, is available as an ex-works option.
The 798 cc two-cylinder in-line engine still delivers 90 hp at 8,000 rpm. Compared to its sister model F 800 R, BMW has given the GT a low-maintenance toothed belt as a secondary drive, which should prove itself on longer motorcycle trips. The new BMW F 800 GT will cost 10,650 euros (including 19% VAT). The new sports tourer will go on sale in November 2016.
