Further developed roadster

The BMW F 800 R is also being revised for the 2017 model year. BMW presented the new roadster at EICMA 2016 in Milan.

The new BMW F. 800 R was made afloat for the Euro4 standard. The engine of the roadster’s two-cylinder in-line engine with 798 cc delivers an unchanged 90 hp at 8,000 rpm. The stainless steel rear silencer has been redesigned to meet the Euro4 requirements. The frame has also been adjusted a little The two driving modes “Rain” and “Road” are now available as standard. As with the sister model F 800 GT, the “Dynamic” driving mode is available as an ex-works option for a more sporty driving style.

The range of optional extras has also been expanded for both models. For example, the F 800 R can be retrofitted with a higher handlebar to ensure a more relaxed sitting posture. In the 2017 model year, the Roadster will be available in the new colors Racing Red, Black Storm metallic and BMW Motorsport (Light White / Lupine Blue metallic / Racing Red). The new BMW F 800 R will go on sale in November 2016. It will cost 8,900 euros (including 19% VAT)..

• New accessories, e.g. sports silencers
