BMW is currently stepping on the gas – the traditional Bavarian brand proved that not only with the purchase of Husqvarna.

However, there is also a certain risk in the wide range, as some models compete with each other. Above all, one should not lose the overview.
Bavarian confusion games
Because the future entry-level model will be the F 650 GS, which is actually an 800 and uses the well-known BMW in-line two-cylinder, but throttled to 71 hp. The belittling model designation of the 7,800-euro all-rounder is intended to accommodate (re)starters or female customers. Either way, we still have to get used to it.
in-house competition?
The F 800 GS, on the other hand, does not have to hide its cubic capacity, whose two-pot engine delivers the full 85 horsepower. Equipped with this, the 800 series, which costs 9640 euros, is a successful middle-class travel enduro, which should help the F series, which was not exactly euphorically accepted by the market, to achieve a breakthrough together with the F 650 GS. It is to be hoped that the success will not come at the expense of the R 1200 GS – the veteran of wanderlust has in-house competition with the fully equipped F 800 GS. Anyone who is satisfied with a third less displacement saves at least 2860 euros.

"Schmarrn!says the Bavarian about such misjudgments. If you are serious about traveling – or just want to pretend to be, you can't avoid the popular heavyweight R 1200 GS and its adventure sister. You know that at BMW too. And to make something good even better, the two bikes were due for a thorough overhaul.
The 12,500 and 14,000 euro touring steamers should continue to ride the wave of success in the future, powered by the 4-valve boxer that has been boosted to 105 hp. Since the usable speed range has also been widened and modified transmission and secondary ratios ensure increased traction and acceleration, nothing should change in the attraction of sisters who love to travel. The rejuvenation was rounded off with a more dynamic design that emphasizes the enduro genes.

Speaking of Enduro: In the future, you would like to get involved with the Sport Enduro G 450 X. The uncompromising competition vehicle weighs 199 kilos ready to drive and has an output of 45 hp. In addition, the Stollenritter, which was built in Berlin, is delivered with regular road approval. If you want, you can modify it for competition use. The performance can easily be increased to over 50 hp – the price has not yet been determined.
All enduro?
But if you now suspect, with a view to the G 450 X and the purchase of Husqvarna, that BMW has come to the end of the road, you ignore the 130 hp HP2 Sport. The fastest and finest series boxer of all time is a piece of sports equipment of the finest design – with a price to match. For 21,600 euros – a special ABS is offered for 915 euros – there is at least a rear frame made of carbon fiber, cylinder heads with two overhead camshafts and chassis technology suitable for racing: Racer heart, what more could you want?

  1. A nice car from Bologna???
Una macchina literally means "a machine", but in Italian it means "a car". … A motorcycle is una moto.

  2. my useless comment
I find the look of some motorcycles simple "hot" (quote planks). Harley-Davidson for example is a real treat for my eyes. And occasionally I enjoy watching this TV show "American choppers" at. But that’s where my enthusiasm for motorcycles ends. Because far too many drivers drive far too aggressively, fast, dangerously and much more.a loudly.

  3. Assembled in Germany
If Wikipedia is to be believed, the 650cc single cylinder of the Rotax G models is made in China and the 450 single cylinder comes from Kymco in Taiwan. It will soon be called CMW instead of BMW?

  4. BMW G 450 X
is finally assembled in Berlin, the engine is made in China. Production was moved from Rotax to Loncin. Incidentally, the 650 engine is also produced there. So much for: "Made in Germany"

  5. BMW G450X
The ready-to-drive 199 kilos of the BMW G450X must be a misprint, as that would make the sports enduro completely unsuitable for off-road use.

  6. Please do not rejected comments
Whether you need the bikes or not, no motorcycle friend suggests the car friend his UPS or CARRERA. So we may have our joy at the partially priceless motorcycles.
