Brixton BX 500 Concept at EICMA

Two studies with a 500cc single cylinder

Brixton had already shown two upcoming 250s at the Intermot in Cologne, and another concept will follow at the EICMA in Milan, with a displacement of 486 cm³.

D.he BX 500 Concept relies on a new in-line twin cylinder with 486 cm³ displacement, eight valves and two overhead camshafts, developed by Brixton itself. The unit has not yet been homologated, but Brixton wants to take full advantage of the 48 hp limit.

Start of the 500s at the end of 2019

The 500 series should go on sale at the end of 2019.

The new Brixton 500 models should be ready for series production and orderable by EICMA 2019 and will be available from dealers from the end of 2019.

When it comes to design, Brixton seems to have based itself on the lines of the Husqvarna Vitpilen models. Short, free-floating rear end, round headlights, long, flat bench and tubular handlebars. Plus a black upside-down fork and wire-spoke wheels. License plate holder and taillight sit on a boom on the swing arm. The exhaust ends on the right in a conical damper. The rear swing arm is supported by a central spring strut. Headlights and indicators use LED technology. The X design element on the tank is striking.
