Despite all the balance shafts and a wide range of options for reducing vibrations: at some point the tingling sensation will crawl into your hands. In my case, my hands acknowledge it with “To fall asleep”. This is not only very uncomfortable on the racetrack. A tip from a passenger was Diopati’s bear paw. It is a thin neoprene finger cot that is worn under the actual motorcycle glove and shields the palm of the hand from vibrations.

Even under tight gloves

I wear the bear paw under a tight racing leather glove and despite understandable prejudices I hardly feel the undersuit. The control and operation of the motorcycle does not restrict the bear paw in the least.

The effect is noticeable and cheap

Can be summed up in a nutshell: Since I’ve been wearing the bear paw, my hands have stopped falling asleep. And because they are hardly noticeable, they are a simple alternative to foamed rubber grips. Diopati is a start-up from Siegen and offers the Barenprank in three versions and three different sizes. It starts at 19.95 euros for a pair, with sizes ranging from S to M, L to XL and 2XL to 3XL. There are seven different colors to choose from. There is also a perforated version for sweaty hands, as well as a reinforced version for weight training.

Conclusion

If you have problems with your hands tingling or falling asleep while riding your motorcycle, the bear paw from Diopatis could be the solution “have at hand”. The thin neoprene undersuit even fits under racing gloves, is barely bulky and cushions the hand against vibrations. The price of just under 20 euros per pair is okay.
