Driving Report: BMW C 600 Sport and C 650 GT: Two on a blow

BMW gives powerful gas – not only in the automobiles, but also with the motorcycles. After the successful debut in the SuperSport segment and the six-cylinder bolides, the Bayern now push the classic scooters on the road for the first time, which the segment should roll up from behind and power technology from the top time. Site has executed you for the test drive
The C600 Sport and the C650 GT are true scooters – visually worlds away from the experimental C1 with roof that found his fans only after production stop. Although independently designed and character strong, follow the usual rules in the segment: a four-stroke engine drives over a continuously variable automatic transmission a spanning body with two comfortable seats and plenty of storage space.

As practical as the big bikes from Munich
Such smart details show the accuracy, with which BMW has developed its first scooter over the past three years. There are LED daytime running lights and turnouts as well as plenty of equipment, as you know from big BMWs – from heating handles to the Navi. Much of it is optional, but who spends at least 11 100 euros for a scooter, is probably not crisp. Especially since the basic price is just a bit thin above that of the bestseller Yamaha T-max. His traders will probably have to grant a strong discount in the future if their model should exist against the Bavarian force.

Motorized walk
Drive yourself scooters and a 1300er. Only the prices for the scooters are really angry and for … I am not comprehensible. Yamaha Tmax for such a "small" 500er so much money? Since the BMW mutates quite favorable. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it is worth the money. As a fleet motorized walking aid especially in the age they are always good.
Massive problems, is still delayed!!
Apparently there are massive problems with the vehicle. A market launch is not in sight.
Information policy
Is just a little thin. First, the scooter should be on 24. March at the dealer and the knew why he did not come. Now is in mid-May??? For such a company a more than weak performance. We continue to cruise with the Piaggio Beverly
Master of Disaster
Yesterday at the BMW center 2rad: No scooters. Production and sales start WG. loving. Quality problems with supplied parts postponed indefinitely. The argument aims too much on prejudices of the set clientele for me. Who has no idea of scooters should not build. Thick ship rollers are not the hit anyway. BMW will not change that. So not.
Announcement but no country in sight
I have been enthusiastic BMW fan for many years and had 5 Thick ships (K1200 LT) in my possession. Old-age. orientation. Reasons have Mcih caused to change a Burgmann 650 Executive. Incidentally, I am very satisfied. But as I would like to return to BMW as mentioned, I would be interested to be burning when with the voity and a test drive can be expected.
Actually no scooter
but an automatic motorcycle. Way too heavy and outling. Rank the scooters in the stand between heaps, laughable. Too much performance, T-max remains the measure of things. Even the GP 800 is a flop in the home and Rollerland Italy.
The buyer decides!
The big roller market is in South and Western Europe. The Tmax of Yamaha as the bestseller among the maxi scooters was already over 180.Sold 000 times. Since BMW as NewCommer has quite a bit done. And there BMW has no home. In the probably not very many German customers, the whole thing for BMW is certainly socially not easy if the quantities are missing.
Fierce!
The BMW is compared to Tmax. The specified motor services of both vehicles are incorrect. BWW too high, Yamaha too low. And it lacks the important statement that the C650GT is 40 kg heavier than the current Tmax. That’s a whole lot and relativized a lot. Also, a scooter is not a motorcycle. Other manufacturers have gained experience over many years.
Very one-sided!
After BMW has thrown a cabin scooter on the market that is more or less flopped, one now builds a larger scooter and introduces him as the nonplusultra. From the prototype to the built scooter are extremely many differences, alone the cockpit has a lot eased. No own engine is installed! And except Yamaha and BMW there are many more scooters, D. be significantly cheaper.
Burgman 650 Executive
For 10 years, Suzuki offers the Burgman 650 and with good luck. The scooter is reliable, very comfortable, has enormously plenty of storage space under the seat and in the 3 front compartments, offers automatic and Tiptronic, comes standard with seat and handle heating, electric. Slice, electr. Folding mirror, 12V connection and more and runs loud tacho around 200 km / h. I bought him for 8500 euros…
