The newcomer had to prove this improved handiness in the exclusive pre-test by MOTORRAD in Italy, among other things on a narrow pylon course. In fact, the Yourban circled much more willingly around the five-meter spaced cones than the classic MP3. He still can’t be called agile or light-footed, but the improvement is noticeable. When maneuvering while standing and parking, the 15-kilo diet is definitely noticeable, and the Yourban is easier to bring in an inclined position because it turns in less sluggishly.

It retains the usual MP3 virtues: thanks to the two front wheels, it drives as if on rails and masters potential sources of danger such as manhole covers or slippery surfaces with casual elegance – in short, it is just as fall-resistant as the standard version. With the fabulous incline of up to 40 degrees, it also puts you in a good mood. The electronic wheel lock is also on board at the push of a button, thanks to which the feet can stay on the step at the traffic lights – very cool. Due to the significantly narrower rear, the storage compartment under the seat bench is smaller, but two jet helmets still fit in. Yourban does not have ABS, but with three braked wheels the stopping distances are short even in wet conditions.

While there will also be a cheaper 125cc without electronic wheel lock in Italy, only the 300 will come to Germany this spring, as an LT version that can be driven with a car driver’s license. The price: a proud 6890 euros. The previous MP3 models remain in the program.
