Victory Cross Roads / Cross Country

Victory, the slightly different American manufacturer, is bringing a new Touring series for 2011: massive road cruisers with a thick 106 cubicinch engine, lots of chrome, lots of luxury and some technical improvements. One of the first cruises was through the Scottish Highlands.

Are Scots Really British? Some call it so, others so. So it fits very well that the US manufacturer Victory presented its new touring cruiser in the Scottish Highlands. Because these luxury liners are also somehow different. On the one hand typical V2 cruisers like the Harleys, on the other hand, technically and visually, completely independent.

D.this also and especially applies to the 2011 models. In the touring segment, Victory has now added slightly more civil-looking versions to the spectacular vision, the Cross line with the basic Roads and Country models. Like all new Victory models, the touring cruisers are powered by the 1731 cm? large 50-degree V2, which has cooling fins like a Harley, but inside which modern technology works – about four valves and overhead camshafts. With the result that a whopping 92 hp and 148 Nm are available. The supple V2 feels good between 2000 and 3000 revolutions, from 4000 rpm it vibrates violently. The gearbox has been heavily redesigned, and thanks to a special lock, it now prevents second gear from being engaged. As a result, idling can now always be engaged quickly and easily, which was previously an annoying fiddling.
