Being 4 times Superbike world champion obviously involves some inconvenience: all the newspapers talk about you, everyone speaks to you with respect, the other riders bow to you, thousands of teenage rooms are covered with posters to your liking. effigy, the girls scream…. too hard ! His nickname Foggy was already applied on a special edition of 996 SPS – it is now also available on the new and hot Monster S4.
Let’s start right away with what hurts…. The Monster S4 Foggy is not as accessible as a simple CB 500 bought on a Sunday from the cousin. Already, you had to take out 18,000 euros to afford one of the 300 copies produced. Then, the purchase of could only be done through the Internet, as was the case with exceptional models such as the 996 R and the 900 Mhe. Now let’s have fun. The red decor with hints of white is only there to coax you. The Foggy Edition is aimed at connoisseurs and gives you a lot more than the standard S4. There are carbon parts everywhere: the front mudguard painted in Infostrada colors, the air intake for the rear cylinder, the gearbox output pinion cover, the horn cover, the gearbox cover. clutch, the sports shoe, the periphery of the radiator…. a different radiator because it is derived from that of the hypersport 998. It must be said that there are a few calories to be released: the S4 Foggy outputs 9 horsepower better than the Monster 916, or 110 nags at 9750 rpm. Thanks to the exhaust kit! The 2 silencers in the high position give an even more compact appearance to the roadster, greatly frees the twin desmoquattro, and lightens the machine by almost 5 kg. The sport identity is also reinforced with the introduction of a carbon and aluminum steering damper and shorter gear ratios.
