We wrote this at the presentation of the Proto 1000 Hypermotard in 2006: “Do you want a supermotard with 100 guns, a furious style, Ohlins, and all Ducati badges? So, it is up to you to promote the birth of this surprising prototype of the Bolognese factory. ” Ducati heard you and offers series production to this surprising machine. This time, the Hypermotard is for real! (Click here to find the article of the Proto 1000 Hypermotard ->)
And it’s not chic. There is even enough to stay on the c .. Ducat ‘has respected the inspiring line of his project. From the proto to the serial version, almost nothing has changed. Only the engine which goes to 1078 cm3 and the rear shock absorber. As for the design, nothing was touched (Suzuki should have worked with Ducati before tinkering with the B-King …) – a great job ensuring the best of its fun spirit and completely “in the know”. Once on the road (preferably super tortuous), the Hypermotard will be THE hypermotard. 90 horsepower for 180 kg, a beautiful inverted 50 mm diameter fork, superb 17 “5-spoke alloy rims, omnipresent simplicity in execution, a dashboard full of info, and a ridiculously fueled fuel tank. Less than 12L for fun – just enough time to get hooked and cool off in the wild.
May those who want more raise their right hand! OK – there is also the S version for you. Ohlins shock absorber, improved fork, one-piece radial brake caliper (type 1098) and forged aluminum rims.
