To discover the Monster is to choose a motorcycle with a marked taste, a strong identity, and to appropriate a part of legend. To make its debut, the 696 is the most accessible without being a midinette. The Desmo twin is inimitable, the 80 horses already valiant, and to indulge yourself with a vintage accent, the 20th Anniversary edition takes up the aesthetic codes of the first Mostro.

The Ducati logo on the tank is calligraphed as it was styled in 1986. The colors dressing the M 696 take us to the early 90s, when the Mostro 900 was presented in Cologne in the fall of 1992: au The tank and the seat cover are rigorously in Ducati Red and the bronze frame is matched, the vintage style is complemented by the “champagne” colored fork sleeves, by the Brembo brake system in gold color and by the chrome finishes of the headlight. Even many parts of the engine and chassis made in light gray are a tribute to the first version of the Mostro. Even the mirrors are a snap: they are identical to those on the 900 Mostro.
The 696 Monster 20th anniversary is a beautiful tribute, simple, elegant, classic, in short, irresistible.

* Mostro or Monster? In the early years, the roadster was called Mostro. The arrival of the Texas Pacific Group investment fund changed some things at Ducati, including the name that became Americanized.
