Part-cycle unchanged for the Diavel II, but did it need some improvements?!? Not really. Few reproaches can be made to him. The tubular steel trellis frame knows how to hold its own, the big 240 rear tire throws a max and surprises with its agility, and the equipment both mechanical and electronic hardly needs to evolve for the moment. The 1200 Diavel still claims a 50mm Marzocchi inverted fork and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock, 320mm slabs with one-piece Brembo radial calipers up front and 265mm track at the rear, combined ABS , keyless start (well almost, has to be in the pocket), 8-level traction control, 3 drive modes *, and a very reasonable 210 kg dry weight – 239 full facts.

The Diavel II is far from wiping out the past. It retains everything that makes its identity, its unreasonable and fascinating side, its motorization burned with a barrel of powder. The evolution is sensitive, enough to give it a (a little) more marked aplomb. The Carbon version benefits from the same evolutions with a weight gain and the characteristics intrinsic to this version: carbon parts, forged rims, stitching on the saddle for the red color, and more toned colors..
These two charismatic Ducati figures must beware of a formidable adversary, of the same blood and even more vindictive: the XDiavel.

* Sport
With 162hp, Sport mode offers the Diavel pilot an adrenaline-pumping ride and allows the throttle to be fully opened for maximum acceleration. Ensuring full availability of the Testastretta 11 ° DS, Sport mode reduces DTC intervention to level 1 for riders who prefer performance a little closer to the grip limits.

Touring
The Touring mode is also programmed to develop 162hp, with however power delivered more flexibly and in a more progressive manner. Rear axle grip is improved by increasing the DTC intervention level to 3, specially tuned for a pleasant and restful ride, ideal for long journeys and ensuring maximum comfort for both rider and passenger.

Urban
Since driving in the streets requires more attention to the surrounding elements than to the performance of the accelerator, the “Urban” mode instantly transforms the Diavel to give it maneuverability and ease of driving. Engine power is reduced to 100hp and DTC is increased to level 5 for greater system intervention under the most demanding traffic conditions.
