Harley-Davidson special series test
Sportster Iron 883
Black is beauty. According to this motto, the Americans put out special series at regular intervals in order to make individual series more attractive again. For example with the Iron 883.
GA Harley dealer recently revealed in confidence: “If a model is not noticed in my showroom for a long time, I take it out, paint all parts black and put it on display again. I’ll bet you the machine will be sold in no time. ”Is that true? Anyway, black motorcycles are back in fashion. And for this reason the Harley-Davidson special models Sportster 1200 Nightster, Night Train and Street Bob with their predominantly black paintwork are selling splendidly. And now Harley’s latest creation: the Iron 883. From the tank to the wheels, it even has more black parts than any other model in the Harley family. Only the “Staggered Shorty” exhaust system on the right has a seductive sparkle in chrome. But apart from its attractive appearance, there are other, more valid reasons that make the Iron 883 attractive. Namely the price. Years ago, who would have thought they could ride a new Harley for the cost of a Japanese mid-range motorcycle? The Iron is available for 7990 euros and is also available in a beginner-friendly 34 hp version. The standard 883 is 200 euros cheaper, but you have to do without expensive spoked wheels and a security system with keyless remote control.
