Keep the essentials and remove the superfluous to selfishly enjoy the twin cam 88, here is the avowed goal of the Street Bob. In the 1950s, Harley riders kept only the bare minimum on their machines and raced with their hair in the wind. The FXDBI is inspired by this “Bobber” trend, with an “Ape Hanger” handlebars, a very low solo seat (the passenger is excluded, his saddle and footrests having disappeared), indicators placed under the controls, wire wheels in a wraparound rear fender.
Like all Dynas since 2006, the 1450 is mated to a new 6-speed “cruise drive” and housed in a new frame. The clutch is softer and the fork goes to 49mm in diameter. With its tall, high handlebars and a respectable build, the Street Bob does not seem the easiest to ride. Oh surprise, the reverse awaits the driver. The machine is easy to carry around and allows you to have fun to the limit of its angle grip. It rubs fast, and braking, without being catastrophic, is sufficient. Rebel to the end of chrome, the Street Bob is now the entry-level machine to the Dyna family, with a price of € 13,600. To announce such a price, Harley has not weighed down much in equipment. This was, moreover, the desired goal. In addition to this very stripped-down identity, the Street Bob has another advantage: an excellent basis for customizing this Dyna as desired..
