Haveba Desertix
Tried all-weather textile jacket

The Haveba Desertix all-weather textile jacket impressed in the first test with good workmanship and a comfortable fit. A back protector must, however, be retrofitted.

In 2018 Haveba can proudly look back on “30 years in the motorcycle business” – in 1988 the company was founded by Hans Veser in the Swabian town of Balingen. Initially it was gloves that stood out in MOTORRAD tests with a good price-performance ratio, but now, thanks to long-term contact with reliable suppliers in Asia, you can offer solidly made textile jackets and trousers. One of them is the Desertix made from Haveba Tactel (a type of polyamide).

Removable thermal lining

When you touch it for the first time, the firm grip and high-quality workmanship are particularly impressive. When you are dressed, you like the very supple, comfortable fit and the good adjustment options with which the jacket can be finely trimmed. The removable thermal lining provided cozy warmth on the shady days of the MOTORRAD autumn ride, the inlets in the chest area, which were opened on a trial basis, shoveled plenty of fresh air inside – good to know that you are not exposed to heat death in summer.

The Humax climate membrane helps against rain – so far without any weaknesses. The protectors on the shoulders and elbows are of good design (Sas-Tec), but should be positioned more precisely. The back padding is a joke, but it can be exchanged for a protector for an extra charge.

Noticed positively: Fit, workmanship, all-season use

Noticed negatively:Protector seat, back pad only

Sizes: M to 4XL

Price: 225.00 euros

MOTORCYCLE Rating: 4 stars out of a possible 5
