Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter in the test
Muscle man with an excellent chassis

When Ducati discontinues the Streetfighter, then as a Ducati dealer and tuning professional you build your own version and bring it to the Tuner GP. We say "Thank you!", because the Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter is totally crazy.
E.First gear, lightly put on the gas and around. As soon as you see the exit from the corner – accelerate! The front wheel rises when it is still on an incline. Step into the next gear with the great automatic gearshift and the front stays up even more resolutely, while the fat rear tire claws into the asphalt and converts the brute torque into wild propulsion. The scenario only changes when you engage fourth gear. It’s the highest railway, because now this muscle man named Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter should turn right into the bend in the Mercedes grandstand. Ha! Done!
Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter in the test
Muscle man with an excellent chassis
Hertrampf has done it again: his TunerGP creation is a piece of cake in terms of the idea and implementation – and wonderfully gaga! You take the fairing and stub of the 1199 Panigale R, change the geometry, slow down the peak performance by changing the timing, develop a new airbox, meticulously tune the engine control to torque and expose the driver in the parabolic to a hurricane. But every curve, and especially the chance of that punch lurking at the end, is simply a kick in the buttocks that you are really excited about – completely crazy!
Hard braking attacks become a pleasure
And then this landing gear! The Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter initially stirred when turning on the brake and accelerating out, and the iron was simply so overhanded that the pilot crashed over the curbs inside without need. But after a brief feedback to Denis Hertrampf, the motorcycle was enthusiastically pounded deep into the corners via the front wheel and whipped back onto the straights with absolute precision. The feedback from the revised, gas pressure-assisted fork with electronic adjustment – sorry to all over-critics – is just great! The same applies to the modified strut.
Tuner Hertrampf did not change anything on the brakes of the Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter. Why also? The Panigale R already has high-end stoppers with a finely adjustable pump. And yet something like that can still be improved, namely with a blipper system for the transmission. With it the fighter rider thunders towards the hairpin, sets the braking point on the last groove and raises the gears from six to two down without the clutch. A short pull on the clutch lever is only required for first gear. That makes hard braking attacks a pure pleasure.
Streetfighter conversions
Only copy already sold
So is there absolutely nothing wrong with tackling a Panigale R like that? Nope, or hardly. The handlebars were too wide for me. A little more backward-facing stubs would certainly have brought more dynamism and, above all, relieved the arms and hands. But the customer who came with us (the bad news: the thing has already been sold!) Liked exactly that. We then agreed on the Rizoma expansion tanks. They have to be moved as they obstruct the view of the super informal dashboard, which also needs to be tilted a little more. When the sun fell on the Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter, it was quite difficult to read anything.
But those are little things about a hammer weapon that was only finished shortly before the TunerGP and had its first rollout there. Ducati should urgently consider making something like this available to a wide range of customers. Compared to the Hertrampf-Ducati Panigale 1199 R Streetfighter, the official Streetfighter was a tired grasshopper. In the meantime, Denis Hertrampf has made such customer wishes come true – also with the 899.
