Honda Africa Twin and Honda X-ADV in a comparison test
Off-road scooter vs. Enduro
Conceptually they are fundamentally different, but optically the new off-road scooter from Honda, the X-ADV, is strikingly similar to the Africa Twin. The double pack of cross-country hoppers has more in common than just the common ticket?
Who will buy a large scooter? Men in their mid-life, mostly a bit plump. And they are happy about the step through. Says Tanita. The 26-year-old knows her way around. After all, she works in a motorcycle shop, sells suzuki and yamahas. Also quite a few Burgman and TMax. So can I loosen the waist strap of the enduro jacket a little? Just because I got the Honda X-ADV pleases – even without stepping through. X-ADV. If you want to prove the proximity of the scene, you don’t just line up the letters, but knowingly formulate the abbreviation: Cross Adventure. A large roller for the rough. Do the Japanese really mean it? The new concept was created in the European development department of the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer in Italy. And if something south of the Alps is safe, then it’s stylistic accuracy.

Off-road scooter vs. Enduro
Africa Twin finds again in the scooter. As if the designers had wrapped a clay model of the successful enduro around the contours of the Integra, the technical basis of the Honda X-ADV. Whether it’s the narrow, towering windshield, the double headlights separated by a bar in the cute fairing nose, the golden anodized fork tubes with rounded fenders – no part is the same, no line has been adopted, and yet the parallels in the design language between the X-ADV and Africa Twin are unmistakable. How about the rest? Can the dissimilar duo Honda Africa Twin and Honda X-ADV be compared at all??
