Husqvarna FS 450 (2019)
Competition supermoto updated
With the FS 450, Husqvarna provides supermoto professionals and amateurs with a sharp piece of sports equipment. Now the refreshed 2019 edition has been presented.
As part of the model update, the F.S 450, of course, the technology of the new FC 450 cross models. The FS 450 has a new chassis, a new bodywork and a revised engine.
More stability, less weight
The 450 cm³ single-cylinder four-stroke got a new SOHC cylinder head that was 15 mm lower and also saves 500 grams in weight. The tax times were also changed. So the single should offer more power and respond better in the low speed range. The power specified is 63 hp. The five-speed gearbox has also been revised, and the hydraulically controlled clutch is based on an anti-hoping system.

The refreshed FS 450 also wants to score with less weight.
The steel main frame and the upper fork bridge are said to have become more rigid, while the screwed-on rear frame is made from a carbon fiber composite material and is supposed to save 250 grams. The 48 WP upside-down fork and the rear central spring strut have been retuned. The traction and launch control also have new settings. The cooling system has also been modified. The new trim parts should give the driver even more freedom.
The empty 103-kilogram FS 450 with Alpina wire-spoke rims for tubeless tires with a diameter of 16.5 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear maintains contact with the ground. Bridgestone slicks in the dimensions 125/80 R420 and 165/65 R420 are mounted on it. The electric starter now taps into a small, lightweight lithium-ion battery.
The new Husqvarna FS 450 is now available at prices from 10,895 euros plus additional costs.
