In the Kawasaki lineup, the 1400 GTR performs much more than a road role. Derived from the ZZR missile, this long-distance motorcycle is more like a very fast cruiser than a liner. And to increase its passenger potential, the Grand Tour ’edition provides additional amenities. The most visible and essential is none other than the painted body color top case. With a capacity of 47 liters, it transforms the passenger seat into a small chair where you can squeeze in and effortlessly withstand the acceleration of 155 horsepower. Also in the luggage department, there is an interior pack of saddlebags. Water resistant, rigid, they allow optimum storage of belongings; one of them can be carried over the shoulder thanks to its shoulder strap. Like that, you put the mess in one, and the picnic in the other.
The rest of the equipment is more discreet but appreciable on a daily basis: a semi-transparent 3-part tank protection, a set of protective films for the bags, and a GPS mount. Thus adorned, the GT of the Greens weighs a few kilos and half a thousand euros more.
