Kawasaki has given the Ninja 650 some updates and a slightly different look for the 2020 model year.

Tea official press release is still a long time coming, but Kawasaki already has some information on the company’s own social media channels Kawasaki Ninja 650 released for the 2020 model year. Although the 2020 version is not a completely new bike, the athlete has been upgraded in some places.

New display and smartphone connection

For 2020, Kawasaki is donating a new 4.3-inch TFT display to the Ninja 650. With the predecessor, potential buyers had to be content with an LC display. In the new cockpit, pilots can choose between a light and dark background. The screen brightness also automatically adapts to the lighting conditions. In addition, the “Ridelogy” smartphone app can also be linked to the Ninja 650 from next year. The app can be used, for example, to view the mileage, the current fuel gauge or the next service on the smartphone.

Kawasaki has also made some minor adjustments to the look. The windshield is now a little lower and the front itself has also been redesigned, making the Ninja 650 look even sportier. Kawasaki has also given the new Ninja two LED headlights. The Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 is now used for the basic tires. The Dunlop Sportmax D214 was previously wound up. Kawasaki has also revised the seating position a bit. The seat is now slightly wider and thicker, which should have a positive effect on comfort.

Engine probably unchanged

Otherwise the Kawasaki Ninja 650 remains unchanged. It is still powered by a parallel twin, which had 68 hp at 8,000 rpm on its predecessor. The 2020 ninja will be available in the three colors "Metallic Spark Black", "Pearl Blizzard White" and "Lime Green / Ebony". Although the price has not yet been confirmed by Kawasaki, various English-language media portals report that the price will not change. In Germany, the current Ninja is available from 7,195 euros.
