Designing a custom designed to compete with the benchmark US brand is not easy. Intended to seduce fans of the Fat Boy genre from H-D, this VN 1500 (as well as the Kawasaki Classic series) was created at the American department of the Japanese manufacturer.. Imposing, elegant, the VN not only has superb plastic but also an exemplary finish. The good big twin speaks with a beautiful and big voice, unfortunately somewhat muffled for those who knew the previous generation of Sumo Kawa. No surprise when riding this big custom. The driving position is typical, with the feet forward and moderately convincing comfort. The road behavior does not call for criticism, the machine brakes properly, the engine takes care of driving pleasure. Sufficiently flexible and docile, the twin is truly pleasant, letting you experience the road at the tempo of the swaying of its bowls. Decency would like us to forget to mention the gearbox, but it did not go through the “impeccable” box. Well-thought-out VN tariff will help make people forgive.
