If you mix KTM with Dakar, what do you get? The outright domination of one over the other. And when it comes to road trail capable of crossing ruts and rivers, Katoche is one of the best in the segment (if not the best). So, mix everything, soak in Gauloises blue (the former sponsor of the manufacturer in rallying) like the 950 S of 2005, sneeze a bit of orange and you are in the presence of a special series 30th DAKAR edition of the 990 Adventure (uh, yeah…. But the Dakar started in 1979….). Based on the R model, this 30th edition features ABS, tubular side crankcase protectors painted the same color as the frame and 115 horsepower. The saddle height is lower: at 860 mm, its highest point is the same as that of the standard Adventure; logical, because the suspension travel is also identical. The Rally-raid spirit remains omnipresent at KTM, and in this color, it’s pretty damn fun to watch.
