To replace the CK1, Kymco is now offering a new 125 roadster: the Visar. Not complicated, a bit muscular on the design side and frankly lively in terms of face, this little Taiwanese motorcycle dares to express itself; history of giving cachet to a utilitarian vocation / little stroll. A basic that has aplomb. With its incisive fork crown, its worked shoulders and of beautiful caliber integrating the indicators, its standard engine guard and its large trim pieces, the Visar ensures the stylistic continuity of the CK1.
It is at the technical level that the Kymco mainly evolves, in order to secure a place in the market for 125 roadsters. The single-cylinder two-valve now complies with the Euro4 standard. He takes the opportunity to recover the injection but will have to be content with a modest 10.2 horsepower at 8000 rpm; sufficient for urban races, less convincing to give more pace when the roads get longer. In return, the economic vocation is obvious. With proven mechanics for mini consumption, the budget will only be felt at the purchase. Indeed, the Visar announces a clear price increase compared to its predecessor, greater than 600 euros.
Aluminum rims, extremely simple tubular steel frame, small fork, the chassis side argument does not change. Except on the braking side, which becomes coupled and turns the rear drum for a disc system. All given for a weight of 136 kilos. A classic value in the category.
On its way, the Kymco 125 Visar will cross in particular the Yamaha YS 125 and Honda CBF 125, or in another register the Mash 125 Seventy Five and Black Seven. Against the Japanese, it no longer has the price advantage. On the other side, the Sino-French hit the mark with their vintage style. Not easy to find a place. The Visar can however count on its style and a slight impertinence to convince.
