With the seasons, the Corsaro evolves, slowly, surely, having at heart to cultivate a fiery temperament. Italian to the bottom of the connecting rods, Morini’s roadster remains the best representative of the renaissance, in the faith of this small manufacturer.. In front of ZZ, it prolongs its existence, frees itself from Euro4, and brings a sum of welcome developments. The identity remains, the pleasure is more intense.
Aware of the Corsaro’s power of seduction, or limited in investment, Morini has taken no risk in the design of this machine. Brutal at will, the evil look, the apparent nerve, and the bestial appearance, this bike does honor to the style, to the essence of the roadster. The overall appearance remains striking; just a few elements are retouched, just to make a difference. There is the re-cut screen with integrated sidelights, the revised optical unit (less classy for our taste), a more imposing front fender, and a rear free of any appendages. The legal obligations are found on a suspended mud flap attached to the swingarm, as on some MV-Agusta and the last MT-09.
Why ZZ? In reference to the Corsarino ZZ of 1965, a small bike of 49 cm3 and 59 kilos which slammed you the 100 km / h.
The Corsaro is well beyond these values. Its weight is 192 kilos, a classic value in this segment, and 6 kilos less than that of the ex Veloce. Thanks the carbon parts. And its big twin of 1187 cm3 delivers almost 140 nags. And Italian horses, with the exhilaration that shakes your spine. The block has evolved twice, with new electronic management: it passes the new standards, gains 4 horsepower and almost half a mkg. As a bonus, the brand offers it an APTC limited slip clutch
The frame made of a tubular steel trellis continues its service. As for the suspensions, the inverted Marzocchi fork and the Sachs rear shock absorber are replaced by Mupo elements; both fully adjustable. Braking is also changing, and seriously. Ciao axially fixing calipers. On the ZZ, we switch to radially fixed Brembo M50s, a 16/19 master cylinder, with the reinforcement of a Bosch 9.1 ABS disconnectable from the handlebars.

The beautiful 5 inch TFT screen comes with multiple display styles. And to connect the GPS or recharge the smartphone, a 12V socket appears.
Faced with the competition, the Morini Corsaro 1200 ZZ will not have an easier task than before. To stand out, it highlights a manufacture and parts 99% Italian. Also, it will allow a high degree of customization, so that each owner is HIS motorcycle, SA morini, far from more standardized productions. One way to justify (a little) the muscular price of this bike; who is just as much.
Buying a Morini can (re) become more accessible with the ZT version of the Corsaro. Technically identical, it makes the difference by swapping its carbon parts and its brushed aluminum tank with ABS plastic elements. The nobility suffers but the price plummets by 4000 bucks.
