Honda ADV 150
Shrunk adventure scooter
Honda presented a scaled-down version of the X-ADV adventure scooter in Indonesia in mid-2019. The 150 doesn’t come to Europe, but to the USA.
M.ith the large scooter X-ADV, Honda has a model in its range that has never been conceptually offered by any other to beg. The Honda NC series provides the technical basis. And with it the 55 hp 750 cm³ in-line twin cylinder. The only thing that makes the X-ADV unique is its 15-inch wire-spoke wheels and the look of the terrain – although the X-ADV does not want to be an enduro.
Single cylinder with 14 hp
In Indonesia, Honda presented the ADV 150 in July 2019, which at least optically emulates the X-ADV. When it comes to drive, the ADV relies on a 149 cm³ four-stroke single-cylinder, which produces 14.5 hp at 8,500 turns and a maximum torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The single is coupled with a conventional variator and an automatic start-stop system. The cast rims have a 14-inch diameter at the front with a 110/80 tire, while only a 13-inch wheel with a 130/70 tire turns at the rear. There is a brake disc per wheel, ABS is on the option list, CBS is standard. A telescopic fork guides and springs at the front, two spring struts with a reservoir are installed at the rear.
The Honda ADV weighs 132 kilograms, is 1,950 mm long, 763 mm wide and 1,153 mm high. A large digital display fills the cockpit, the height of the windshield can be adjusted in two ways and a 28-liter storage compartment awaits luggage under the bench.
In Indonesia, the ADV 150 went on sale for the equivalent of 2,200 euros. However, it will not find its way to Europe. for this he will be allowed to play on the US market from the end of 2020, as US registration documents now show.
