For the current Honda Africa Twin (CRF 1000 L), the Swiss graphic designer Nicolas Vontobel created a classic decor. It gives the motorcycle the look of the NXR 750 rally machines from the late 1980s.

D.he Dakar design not only includes the Rothmans sponsor stickers reproduced by Vontobel. Parts of the fairing are repainted, and at the end the motorcycle is given a clear coat.

The Swiss dealer www.hallermotos.ch offers the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin in this Paris-Dakar design as a new machine at a price of 14,990 Swiss francs (model without DCT dual clutch transmission). That is 700 francs above the regular Swiss new price; when importing to Germany, German VAT and eight percent duty are due.

According to rally fan Vontobel, motorcycles that have already been purchased can also be redecorated at a later date; the prices for these will be determined by arrangement. In addition to the Paris-Dakar design for the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin, the designer also offers sticker sets for other enduro bikes at www.rubberdust.com. at. the Yamaha XT 660 Z Tenere.
