Electric scooter Unu
City scooter with portable battery
Most townspeople don’t have a garage. And there are not yet charging stations on every corner; the existing ones are often occupied. It goes without saying that an electric scooter for the city can score with a removable battery – like the Unu.
D.The Unu is not the only electric scooter on the market with a removable battery, there are others too, but the fact is worth mentioning, because such a feature is of course not.
Drivable with the car driver’s license
Anyone with a driver’s license can drive the Unu – regardless of which of the three engine strengths is selected: 1 kW, 2 kW or 3 kW are available. The range is always the same at up to 50 kilometers, as is the top speed of 45 to 50 km / h. The difference lies in the gradeability (17%, 20% and 24%; occupied by one person) and the acceleration: with the 1 kW motor it goes from 0 to 45 km / h in 17 seconds, 2 kW can do it in 15 seconds Seconds and the largest unit can do it in 12 seconds.
The manufacturer puts this aptly on its side with the words: “(…) if you want to drive more often in pairs or drive in a slightly hilly area, we recommend that you take at least the 2000W motor. If it is very mountainous or you just enjoy being by far the fastest at the traffic lights, then the best thing to do is to opt for the 3000W motor. "
Loading time and dimensions
Removable and can be charged in the living room – that’s the Unu’s battery, which is housed in a brushed aluminum housing and has a capacity of 1.47 kWh. According to the manufacturer, it should be charged to 50 percent after just one hour and 70 percent after five hours.
The Unu rolls on 10-inch rims (tires: Heidenau 3.00-10) with a recuperation system, is 170 cm long, 103 cm high (130 cm with mirrors), approx. 75 cm wide (with mirrors) and weighs 67 kilograms Battery, the battery itself weighs 9 kilos. The maximum load is 150 kilos, the seat height is specified as 70 cm. The front is decelerated with a hydraulic disc brake, the rear with a drum brake.
Production and prices
Tea Unu electric scooter was developed and designed in Berlin and is built in China. Regularly inspected, the manufacturer gives a two-year guarantee on the electric scooter and battery. Prices start from 1,799 euros for the basic version (1 kW), the standard version (2 KW) is available from 2,299 euros and the “Premium” model with 3 kW from 2,799 euros.
