Kawasaki Versys-X 300 at EICMA 2016
No matter when, no matter where
From 2017, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 will simultaneously expand the 300 cc range and the Versys family.
Kawasaki Versys 650 and 1000 have made a name for themselves as long-distance universalists and created a fan base. The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 can benefit from this preparatory work and would like to be included exactly there.
The series twin of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is already known from the Z 300 and Ninja 300, but is said to have been optimized in the small travel enduro for more torque at lower and medium speeds. Dual throttle valves and finely atomized fuel injectors are designed to increase fuel efficiency. A servomechanics reduce the manual forces required for coupling.
Sitting position and high wind stress emphasize the comfort of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, the wide handlebars support the handling. The cockpit offers, among other things, a gear display, two trip meters, a remaining range display and an Eco-LED: When this lights up, the current consumption is low enough to cover more than 400 kilometers between two refueling stops.
Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure
The steel backbone frame integrates the engine of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 as a supporting element. Telescopic fork and a strut with deflection on the two-arm swing arm take care of wheel guidance, suspension and damping.
An Achilles heel of small motorcycles is often the limited range of accessories. With the Versys-X 300, Kawasaki is taking a pleasingly aggressive approach and even offers a higher seat as well as extensive luggage and touring accessories. Two ready-made versions will be available from dealers: The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Urban is equipped with a tank pad, hand protectors, a main stand and a 30-liter top case; the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure also offers a tank pad and a main stand, plus one Engine protection and two 17-liter cases.
