Triumph Tiger 1200 recall
Motor can die
Triumph has to recall the new Tiger 1200. The engine of the big enduro can suddenly die off. A software update should fix the problem.
D.he British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has to recall the Tiger 1200, which has only just launched on the market. Due to a software problem in the engine control, the engine of the large enduro can suddenly stop. A new software is supposed to solve the problem.
In Germany, only three motorcycles owned by customers are affected, Triumph Germany explained on request. Their owners have already been informed. All other motorcycles are still with the importer or the dealers. Triumph dealers should already have a new software version available by Friday (January 19th, 2018) and be able to update all affected machines.
The three customer machines are picked up and brought back by the respective dealer. Should customers need a replacement motorcycle, Triumph will provide them with one. The campaign is of course free of charge for customers.
