Kawasaki Z 900 (2017)
It stays violent
The Kawasaki Z 900 continues the long tradition of wild four-cylinder power bikes, which began with the legendary 900 Z1 and reached another high point with the GPZ 900 R..
"Redefined Raw" overwrites Kawasaki presented its new Z 900, what with "redefined ferocity" is only inadequately translated. The model name is the only appropriate one for this type of motorcycle, the manufacturer explains, after all there are echoes "Frankenstein’s daughter" 900 Z1 and the fastest motorcycle in the world at the time, the GPZ 900 R..
The current Kawasaki Z 900 is powered by a sporty in-line four-cylinder. It promises generous torque in the lower and middle speed ranges and pronounced revving and performance when it comes to the red zone. The gearbox with a short ratio in gears 1 to 5 (2.692 to 1.222) wants to bring out this wildness to its best advantage. Only the sixth gear, which has a long gear ratio of 1.034, is a bit out of line – probably a tribute to noise and exhaust emission regulations.
Kawasaki Z 900 equipment
The equipment includes a servo-assisted anti-hopping clutch, a programmable shift light and three driving modes. The tank, which tapers towards the rear, and the wide, slightly cranked handlebars complement the low, integrated seating position to create a casual arrangement that should also allow ideal control over the Kawasaki Z 900.
The Kawasaki Z 900 will be available in green, gray and black.
