Honda wins the Oschersleben 8H 2019
On the handlebars of the Honda n ° 1 reigning world champion, Josh Hook, Freddy Foray and Mike di Meglio took advantage of a twist at 1h30 from the finish to win the 2019 Oschersleben 8H but the Kawasaki SRC n ° 11, second, takes control of the provisional classification before the final at Suzuka… Debrief.
Already winner last year, the F.C.C. TSR Honda France won the penultimate round of the endurance world championship again by taking the first step of the podium yesterday in Oschersleben (Germany).

Second at the finish line, the SRC Kawasaki France team (Jeremy Guarnoni, David Checa and Erwan Nigon) takes the lead of the FIM EWC world championship – at the expense of SERT – while the Yamaha n ° 333 VRD Igol Pierret Experieurs (Florian Alt , Florian Marino and Xavier Simeon) climbs on the third step.
"I’m sorry for David Checa"
Until 1h30 from the finish, the four favorites fighting at the forefront since the start seemed to have the race in hand … but endurance races would not be endurance races without the last twists and turns. minute! Thus the official Yamaha n ° 7 of YART, victim of an engine failure, saw its hopes vanish … while causing the fall of the Honda Endurance Racing n ° 111, then fourth !
"It was a superb event for us, with a strong rhythm imposed by our rivals during the first hours", underlines Gilles Stafler, team manager of the Greens in endurance. "This being the job was done insofar as my whole team was focused on this race, the objective n ° 1 being to make up the delay in the general classification. It is clear that our pilots have driven beautifully and allow us to Take back the lead of the world championship when we were 10 points behind! Also delighted with the performance of our Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-RR which once again demonstrated its reliability. Finally, David Checa was not unworthy, n ‘ let us not forget that thanks to his help we got the pole and the 5 additional points. We did not run it for reasons of fuel consumption, because running it on this event would have forced us to stop for a while. again at the pits and mortgaged our final ambitions. I’m sorry, but it was essential for all of us and the good of the team ".
Moto Ain wins Superstock World Cup
In Superstock, Moto Ain’s n ° 96 Yamaha – fourth scratch at the foot of the podium – wins and wins the FIM Endurance World Cup after unchallenged domination by Roberto Rolfo, Robin Mulhauser and Stefan Hill, who led category for 204 out of 303 traveled. At Oschersleben they are ahead of Wójcik Racing Team 2 and BMRT 3D Maccio Racing. The German team GERT56 by GS Yuasa, despite leading the Superstock world ranking before Oschersleben, finished 13th in its home race after running out of gas and electrical problems.
Also in Superstock, let us note the beautiful 9th place of Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers which receives the Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit trophy, awarded to the most combative team. We also salute the No Limits Motor Team and Team 33 Coyote Louit Moto, 11th and 12th respectively at the finish line while the Junior Team LMS Suzuki, vying for World Cup victory at the start of the race, finished 17th in the arrival after a fall.
5 points behind for the SERT
The official SERT Suzuki n ° 2 also had its share of difficulties: after two crashes, it finished 10th and is now 5 points behind the Kawasaki n ° 11 before the final at Suzuka where everything remains playable. Finally, despite a good start to the race, the BMW n ° 6 ERC-BMW Motorrad Endurance – victim of three retirements in three races – finished 19th following a collision.
Finally, we should point out the fifth place of the Fany Gastro BMW Motorrad by Mercury Racing (Karel Hanika, Ondrej Jezek and Ladislav Chmelik) which signs its best result of the season, as does the Webike Tati Team Trick Star (Julien Enjolras, Kevin Denis and Bastien Mackels) , 7th on arrival.
See you on July 28 for the final at 8H Suzuka (Japan): stay tuned !
