A trendy Cafe Racer

Since our test of the first French electric sports motorcycle, the one designed by the small company of Chartres (28) H-KER, MNC has closely followed the exciting projects of this structure set up at the end of 2010 by François-Xavier Huille, an industrialist passionate about motorcycles, and Yves Kerlo, former pilot and talented trainer (read our and our).

Among these plans are the imminent arrival of the improved version of the First – an electric track motorcycle tested by MNC in prototype form (read our) – and the launch of a more powerful (60 hp) and lighter version ( 130 kg) called "Cup". A "pure juice" sportswoman with which H-KER planned to create a specific competition within the framework of the Week-End Racing Cup (WERC).

Unfortunately, concerns encountered with the battery supplier have "sealed off" these fine projects, even forcing H-KER to cancel its presence at (read). Contacted by MNC, the French company ensures that it is not "off" and that the adventure continues. Better still: it is diversifying with the marketing in very small series of the first road bike stamped H-KER, the Electric Racer.

On paper, the bet is very daring as electric propulsion already has all the trouble in the world to find its place on two and four-wheelers … So trying to make it shine by exhibiting it in a vintage case, you had to dare ! Because this "battery-powered" Cafe Racer is sure to ruffle the hair of purists, for whom the charms of retro can be savored to the rhythm of the explosions of a good "old" heat engine..

On the other hand, we can also congratulate ourselves that a French company shows initiative in the two-wheeled sector (!) And does not hesitate to upset the established codes to advance the schmilblick, was it electric !

An appointment is therefore made with Yves Kerlo and Adrien Huille, sales manager and also son of one of the founders for a short contact with this intriguing "neo-electro-retro".
