Armed with the famous Triple 1050 cc of the Speed, the Triumph Sprint ST is equipped with a large fairing and two cases as standard, or even optional ABS. The Englishwoman therefore launches a serious appeal to travel, for an hour, a weekend or a month ? Test.

This does not prevent the Sprint ST from quickly reaching shameful speeds and frankly, not easily decipherable – at least at the beginning – on the computer. Likewise, the vision in the mirrors is poor: they do not vibrate but shake !

These vibrations tickle the handlebars at certain speeds but you will have to be very sensitive to really complain about it. As for the rest of the bike, it is perfectly quiet. The gums on the footrests, for example, filter everything and even in rainy weather provide a foolproof grip..

On the Sprint, the left foot of the pilot is involved: the box a bit hard requires to properly lock the gears. In very cool driving, our test model had some misfires when going from 3rd to 4th. Nothing annoying however, especially when driving in "touring" mode.

In "sport" mode, the pilot concentrates more on his actions and the small faults of the gearbox go completely unnoticed. Also imperceptible, the load of the motorcycle – passenger, rain suits, anti-theft device, clothes, shoes, toothbrushes, livarot, pont-l’evêque, camembert, it’s good I have everything! – hardly modifies its behavior on the road.

Two, suitcases full, the Triumph cuts the road without tiring or breaking up. The front end is both agile and stable while the rear follows without being noticed. The big curves of nationals are swallowed serenely – thank you Showa, at the front and at the rear -, and we do not hesitate for a second to put a good dose of gas on the angle, just for fun !

On departmental however, the English requires a little more restraint. Its substantial weight and GT suspensions do not allow you to attack like riding a Supersport.

However, the roundness of the 1050 proves to be formidable in the revivals and, with good physical condition, the "Sprinter" can finally tumble at a good pace on small roads. Because even if on a ride, this bike is very convincing, it is difficult to resist the calls of his pot !
