Torpedoed by Mir in Sepang, Zarco keeps morale high for Valencia
While battling in the top 10 on his Honda LCR, Johann Zarco had to retire after being hit in a hazardous pass by Joan Mir on the official Suzuki … Debriefing.
Unlucky but optimistic, Johann Zarco retains from the 2019 MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix his good feelings and the potential of his Honda LCR, on which he replaces Takaaki Nakagami.

"I must be happy with this race," said the Frenchman, who qualified ninth and fought for eighth place with Jack Miller, before beating Joan Mir with just three laps to go. “I had a good pace and was fighting with good riders. I still have to make progress to understand the Honda better and to ride it better, but I feel that there is good potential to be faster and to ride in outposts ".

For his part, the Suzuki rider was penalized for "irresponsible driving" with an extended lap penalty ("") but did not see where the problem was.
