Marc Marquez, official Honda n ° 93 (1st in qualifying and 1st in race)
"Here at Le Mans it’s always difficult because of the temperatures and the weather, especially today. I think it’s the first time I’ve been racing with the soft tire up front, but it was the wiser option. I wanted to be consistent first and then when I saw that I was widening the gap I attacked a little more in 1’32 until I was two seconds ahead . I’m happy with this result and it’s great to have won the 300th Honda victory in the premier class! "
Andrea Dovizioso, official Ducati n ° 4 (4th in qualifying and 2nd in race)
"I’m happy with my result because the conditions have been very difficult all weekend. We managed to take second place, both in the race and in the championship, but you have to stay focused and try to improve further if we want to fight Marquez to the end. I couldn’t keep up his pace until the finish because the rear tire deteriorated a bit too much. In the last laps, I also had to counter the return of Danilo (Petrucci, his teammate, Editor’s note). It was a good fight and I’m not surprised by his speed because I know him well. We got the best possible result and the championship is still open. I’m impatient to race in two weeks at Mugello, a circuit that we know quite well and where we have obtained good results in recent years ".
Danilo Petrucci, official Ducati n ° 9 (2nd in qualifying and 3rd in race)
"It was a great race and I’m really happy to finally get back on the podium, exactly a year after the last time (editor’s note). I was rather competitive in the last races but not in qualifying, which made me feel better. prevented from being more efficient in the race. This time we managed from the first row, but I made a few mistakes in the first laps and lost some ground. At one point I even went down to sixth place, but I tried to stay calm and focused, attacking as much as possible to close the gap. Towards the end, Andrea and I had a spectacular fight: he was stronger than me in acceleration while I was regaining some ground under braking, but I was never close enough to conclude. On the other hand, it would have been foolish to take such risks between teammates. This double podium is an excellent result for the whole team and we will now try to start over at Mugello ".
Jack Miller, Ducati satellite n ° 43 (3rd in qualifying and 4th in race)
"I had a lot of fun, the feeling with the bike was excellent. I may have attacked a little too much to try to stay in front of Marquez (to the editor’s note) but I must admit that it was a good duel. make some progress !"
Valentino Rossi, official Yamaha n ° 46 (5th in qualifying and 5th in race)
Pol Espargaro, official KTM n ° 44 (12th in qualifying, 6th in race)
Franco Morbidelli, Yamaha satellite n ° 21 (6th in qualifying and 7th in race)
“It was a good race! I was watching the best drivers up close but couldn’t catch up with them. Anyway, it’s a good result. It’s the race where I had the best feelings so far. present and that means we are making progress. We must continue to work in this direction and continue to improve. The objective is to continue taking points in each race. We had a good weekend with dry, wet and wet conditions. mixed. I’m very happy, it’s a good way to get to my national GP ".
Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha satellite n ° 20 (10th in qualifying and 8th in race)
Cal Crutchlow, Honda LCR n ° 35 (15th in qualifying and 9th in race)
“It’s a disappointing day in terms of results because I didn’t come here to finish ninth. So I’m disappointed but the good thing to remember is that we got some important new data on the bike. ‘overall, I didn’t feel comfortable with the settings of the bike, nor with the feeling and the tires this afternoon. So we have to improve and work on this point. We qualified in 15th position and that always makes the race more difficult, but I got off to a good start and finished the first lap ninth, then race ninth. I wanted to close the gap to the leaders a bit, but it wasn’t not possible today. We will try again at Mugello … Congratulations to HRC for this incredible series of 300 victories, I am proud to be part of it! "
Alex Rins, official Suzuki n ° 42 (19th in qualifying and 10th in race)
"It was a difficult weekend… Qualifying went badly, the strategy was bad, etc. Honestly, I was hoping for better this weekend. I started the race with a lot of hope, but in the end I had to deal with some difficulties, especially entering the turn, and I was only able to finish 10th. These 6 points are important, especially since it was easy to crash today – there was a lot crashes in all three races. There are still a lot of races left and I’m ready for Mugello ".
Jorge Lorenzo, official Honda n ° 99 (8th in qualifying and 11th in race)
"11th is not the place I would like, but I have noticed progress so I’m happy and that makes me even more optimistic for the next races. It’s the first weekend with a day where I finish in the top 5 (, Editor’s note) and where I qualified 8th. And you know, apart from the Qatar GP which was a slow race, it’s the first time that I finished so close to the winner (to all the same Marc Marquez , Editor’s note!). We learn more every weekend and every race, it’s just a matter of time. Thanks to the Repsol Honda team who continue to work hard and congratulations to Honda for their 300 victories ".
Aleix Espargaro, Aprilia n ° 41 (9th in qualifying and 12th in race)
“Coming away with points is always positive, but I can’t be satisfied. I was unable to keep up with the leaders, especially because of the lack of grip which is very important on a circuit like Le Mans. tire choice possible with these temperatures and we were all in the same conditions. Now we have to work tirelessly to improve. Our competitors have improved and it is more and more difficult to finish in the top 10 ".
Johann Zarco, official KTM n ° 5 (14th in qualifying and 13th in race)
Hafizh Syahrin, KTM Tech3 n ° 55 (21st in qualifying, 14th in race)
Miguel Oliveira, KTM Tech3 n ° 88 (16th in qualifying, 15th in race)
Joan Mir, official Suzuki n ° 36 (18th in qualifying and 16th in race)
"I deeply regret. I think the tire was cold, I did not brake too hard or too early but lost the front. I fell four times this weekend and you have to wonder why. At no time did I have the impression of having driven beyond my means, but I hope that when we understand why I fell we can teach it. I look forward to the GP of ‘Italy".
Andrea Iannone, Aprilia n ° 29 (22nd in qualifying and retirement in the race)
“Unfortunately I couldn’t finish the race today, my ankle pain was too bad. The situation got worse every day, and with the next race at Mugello we decided to limit the damage. continue my rehabilitation by trying to rest my ankle and changing my training program to stay in shape. I have always had good results at Mugello so I want to get there being 100% ".
