More than four years ago, Site readers – who, as everyone knows, are a little more fortunate than others – were able to access the heart of the MBK factory in Saint-Quentin in the Aisne (read ).
This time, it is the brand itself which proposes to (re) discover its structure by means of a video report. There are three assembly lines that now produce around 80,000 motorcycles and scooters per year, as well as 30,000 small-displacement outboard engines..
The spearhead of MBK for more than 20 years, the Booster (BW’S at Yamaha) has exceeded 2 million units. A tremendous success that (Xmax at Yamaha), of which it now ensures 100% of the production, ABS version included.
Before watching the video, here are the latest figures communicated by MBK on its official website about its activity:
- 340,000 m2 production site with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications
- Nearly 800 employees
- 157 million euros in turnover in 2011
- Almost 30,000 50 cc scooters per year
- 3,000 125 and 250cc scooters (+ 28,000 units since April 2012)
- 13,000 motorcycles
- 30,000 outboard motors
- 1,500 quads
- Nearly 2,000 quads brought into conformity
- 32 positions on the scooter assembly line (such as for the Skycruiser)
- 150 scooters produced per day (8h00)
- 50 meter long assembly line
- 80% of robotic interventions against 20% of manual interventions
