SIMA has just had its exclusive importer contract for the Husqvarna brand in France renewed for an indefinite period.

The French family business based in Beaune welcomes this agreement with the Italian group Cagiva, owner of the Swedish brand.

After having ceased the importation of MV Agusta, also owned by the Cagiva group, SIMA welcomes the renewal "for an indefinite period" of its contract as the exclusive importer of the Husqvarna brand in France.

"This new agreement will make it possible to refocus SIMA’s strengths around this emblematic brand of the off-road sector, with unwavering confidence in the common future of the two entities", explains the CEO of SIMA, Frederic Fourgeaud, at the ‘resulting from the signing of the contract with the legal representative of the plant and commercial director of MV Agusta, Umberto Uccelli.

"The group is already undergoing a complete redevelopment of the Husqvarna range", specifies the importer, with in particular the imminent arrival of a "new 100% new 250 4-stroke engine, currently in the finalization phase" ( photo opposite).

Formerly an arms factory founded in … 1689 – a century before the French Revolution, which does not make us any younger! -, Husqvarna has been producing motorcycles since 1903. Bought by Electrolux in 1978, the Swedish group ceded the motorcycle division to the Italian Cagiva (Cagiva, MV Agusta and Husqvarna) in 1987.
