August 5 update – Ducati has just denied the words of Gabriele del Torchio by assuring that no agreement had yet been reached with Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden, while specifying that "our interest in these riders remains unchanged". "The remarks recently reported by the American site Cycle World and other Internet sites (hum hum, read opposite, Editor’s note) were misinterpreted and must be attributed to the many rumors that have been circulating recently," said the Italian manufacturer concluding that an "official statement will be issued if and when an agreement has been reached". Wednesday August 4, 2010 – The official announcement should be made in Brno for the Czech Republic Grand Prix on August 15, but Gabriele del Torchio, Ducati chief executive officer (photo below), has just confirmed the arrival of Valentino Rossi in the team official Ducati MotoGP in 2011.
In an interview with our American colleagues from, the big boss of Ducati indicates that he "awaits with impatience the arrival of Valentino Rossi alongside Nicky Hayden".
"Nicky is a wonderful person and he’s an excellent driver," continues Gabriele del Torchio: "this year he has greatly contributed to the improvement of the Desmosedici (read in particular, Editor’s note) and next year, him and Valentino will be able to give the bike its full potential for victory ".
