MotoGP on NT1 and Eurosport until 2011
Dorna Sports, owner of the television rights to the MotoGP World Championship, has finally reached an agreement with the NT1 channel of Groupe AB (TNT) and Eurosport France (cable and satellite) for the broadcasting of MotoGP in France until 2011..
After having zapped Eurosport (read), Dorna Sports has just indicated this morning that the broadcast in France of the MotoGP world championship would be shared until 2011 between NT1 (Group AB) for TNT and … Eurosport (Group TF1) for cable and satellite.
This three-year agreement provides that NT1 will broadcast live the 18 MotoGP races with a preview before each race, while Eurosport France will continue to offer the free practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday, then the three races in direct on Sunday.
"NT1, which targets a general audience between 15 and 49 years old, attracts nearly 20 million viewers", assures Dorna, specifying that Eurosport France"is received in 6.6 million homes".
"We are delighted to broadcast one of the leading motorsport competitions", rejoices Richard Maroko, general manager of programs of Groupe AB, while Patrick Goddet, deputy general manager of Eurosport France, considers that" MotoGP is part of the genetic code of Eurosport".
