Suzuki presented its novelties at the Bol d’Or

News - Suzuki presented its new products at the Bol d'Or - Used SUZUKI

Particularly disappointed by the cancellation of the Mondial de la Moto scheduled for this fall, Suzuki France still wanted to meet its audience to present its 2010 novelties this weekend at Magny-Cours, on the sidelines of the Bol d’Or won by… a Gex !

Suzuki France didn’t skimp: it was the only manufacturer to be present this weekend in the shopping village of the Magny-Cours circuit for the 73rd Bol d’Or! The large stand of course presented the stars of the brand (Hayabusa, GSX-R and other B-King), but also three new 2010 models exclusively for French bikers, well before the Milan Motor Show. !

Finally a GT at Suzuki !

The main new Suzuki 2010 is the road version of the 1250 Bandit: the GSX 1250 FA. We find this brilliant torque-fed 4-cylinder in a fully faired motorcycle – hence the suffix F – ready to cut the road in complete safety thanks to its standard ABS – hence the suffix A !

In fact, even before its planned launch in April 2010, Suzuki is already presenting a version equipped with a top case, side cases and a high screen. The price is not yet fixed, but Pierre-Laurent Feriti, head of press relations at Suzuki, promises us that this last formula "will remain under 10,000 €"…

With such strengths, this GT version "expected to account for almost 70% of GSX 1250 FA sales", estimates Suzuki France. And if it is true that a large road-GT at this price, it does not run the streets, we could all the same regret that it does not offer a universal joint.

Bandit 1250 naked facelift

The other Suzuki "semi-novelty" for 2010 is the design variation of the new Bandit 650 N (read our), modeled on its big sister of 1250 cc.

Exit the round headlight in favor of the ecu-shaped optics and welcome to the new dashboard including a gear indicator engaged. Unfortunately, we find again and again this huge exhaust silencer…

Good news, however: this new Bandit "twelve and a half" does not charge its facelift: it should be displayed at the same price as the 2009 model, namely € 8,249 (+ € 500 with ABS). So it’s not just in Endurance that Suz ‘puts pressure on the competition. !

Finally, next to these two 1250s sat the new cross country RMX 450Z, already presented at the same time as the custom M800 (read).

And there will be nothing else to put in their mouths at Suzuki for 2010: the rumors spread on the web and other papers of all kinds concerning sports 125 and roadster 750 would therefore be unfounded….

Sure ? Not even a slight evolution of the GSX-R 600 and 750 at the next Italian Motor Show? "No, because long before the "crisis", the four Japanese manufacturers had agreed and admitted that a renewal of sports every two years was excessive", indicates Suzuki France to Site … Business to follow: stay tuned !
