In 2016, Honda gives its all in the X !
For the moment partially revealed in the form of truncated photos and some scant information – ah, the teasing! -, the CB500X 2016 will be distinguished by its screen raised by 100 mm and its LED lighting, front and rear. Its new general design would be more modern and more aggressive.
Its fork will now be adjustable in preload, the brake lever gains a spacing adjustment. Finally, the smoothness and precision of gear changes would have been improved..
In short, developments described as "substantial" by Honda, but which can nevertheless have a significant impact on a daily basis..

NC750X 2016
The 2016 NC750X also receives a larger screen (+ 70 mm) and "full" LED lighting. Its modified aesthetic is described as "rougher" (sic!) And "more adventurous" … Three new maps have also been added to the DCT version, accessible from S (Sport) mode. Sub-maps in a way !
In addition, the damping would improve via optimized calibration and its silencer becomes more compact..
The volume of the – practical – false tank goes from 21 to 22 liters in order to more easily accommodate a full face helmet in this clever storage space.
The real fuel tank, located under the saddle, retains its 14.1 liters of capacity. Largely sufficient insofar as the low-stretch twin-cylinder (breaker at 6500 rpm!) Consumes practically nothing, of the order of 3.46 l / 100 km advertised.

Corsstourer 2016
Finally, the Crosstourer wins for its part a brand new windshield that would be possible to adjust with one hand – as on its rivals R1200GS or KTM Adventure -, a redesigned saddle and a 12 V socket. skating installed as standard is now adjustable on three levels and disconnectable.
Its 1237cc V4 receives Euro 4 homologation and its optional DCT box now includes three injection "sub-programs" accessible in S mode, as on the NC750X.
The DCT gearshift software has also been optimized for better convenience. This 2016 VFR1200X comes in gray, black and a very elegant special edition red and black.
If all these changes should undoubtedly serve him, it is however regrettable that a regime is not included in the list: with 277 kg in standard version and 287 with the DCT, the Honda maxi-trail is among the heavyweights of the category.
But that fans of – relative – lightness be reassured: Honda now has an enticing alternative with (212 kg, + 10 kg with DCT) which will land in dealerships in January 2016 !
